Ignite Street Food Festival to Light a Spark in Union Square

The August sun won’t be the only thing bringing the heat at the Ignite Food Festival in Union Square on Saturday, August 10, from 6 to 10:30 p.m.

This sizzling street food celebration will feature a wide range of global cuisines and a talented array of performers. A competitive curry-eating contest will crown Somerville’s spiciest citizen, and the Boston Circus Guild will (metaphorically) set the streets ablaze with a special fire performance!

A $2 donation is suggested, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles, which can be refilled at the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority’s Quench Buggy. Be sure to check out the Somerville Arts Council’s website for more information.
