Alderman Katjana Ballantyne Week of June 4th—Ward 7 & Somerville – Meetings & Notices

There are many important upcoming meetings which I’d like to highlight in this email. Note “community meetings” (don’t appear on the city website), so I try to include those I believe are of interest to constituents based on their input. You’ll find many in this email, however not all.

For a full listing of all official “Aldermen meetings” which are typically held up at city hall, please check the city website for times and locations —http://www.somervillema.gov/

Powderhouse Redevelopment Project Update –

MarKa shared the following… “Behind the scenes there is a lot of work well underway and rest assured the project is moving ahead.

Two things that slowed construction mobilization recently include:

1) the bank’s third party final review took longer to complete than was originally scheduled; and

2) the contract process with the GC has taken longer than originally scheduled.

They are actively wrapping up both of those processes now, and all efforts are aimed at a July mobilization.”
