Toys for Local Children held their 11th annual event, on Saturday, December 3rd. There were over one hundred people in attendance. This was a fun filled event with representatives from MMA (Massachusetts Motorcycle Association), local attorneys, the business community, politicians, and community members. New Laws on Sightseeing Duck Boat Tours Voted On

DUCK BOAT TOURS (S 2473) – The House and Senate approved and sent to Gov. Baker a measure that would prohibit a driver of any amphibious sightseeing vehicle, commonly known as Duck Boats, from providing commentary about the tour while driving. HOUSE VOTES ON BILL TO PROHIBIT DISCRIMINATION AGAINST TRANSGENDER PEOPLE

   House 118-36, Senate 33-4, approved a new law that expands prior law prohibiting discrimination against transgender people by adding “gender identity” to existing Massachusetts civil rights laws that already prohibit discrimination in public accommodations based on age, race, creed, color, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, religion and marital status.
