Kevin Van Stry Jr. of Cambridge passed away suddenly on December 21, 2023.
He was 48. Born in Cambridge, he the son of Kevin Van Stry, Sr. of Cambridge and of the late Noreen (Quinn) Van Stry. “KJ” as he was known by family and friends, attended North Cambridge High School where he excelled at his passion of playing varsity basketball. He graduated from Bentley University where he earned a degree in business while also providing support to his family business. KJ was a major force in building the successful family manufacturing company providing inspiration to the company including creating the business slogan, “Succeeding Through Service”, for which the company was known.
He was the father of Cadence Quinn Van Stry and Jacob Christopher Van Stry both of Point Lookout, New York and is survived by their mother Amanda (Hollard) Van Stry. KJ was the dear brother of Erik Van Stry, Katherine Van Stry, Carol Van Stry and Daniel Van Stry of Medford. Kevin was loved by many and will be truly missed
Funeral Procession will be from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Square) in Somerville on Friday January 5th at 10am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St Raphael Church, Medford at 11 am. Relatives and Friends invited to attend. Calling hours Thursday, January 4th from 4pm to 7pm. Services will conclude with burial at Cambridge Cemetery.
