Tufts University Responds to Election Results

Students at Tufts University have had an emotional few weeks as they, like college students across the country, make sense of what a Trump win means for their country. 


Community Benefits Hearing Update 

As preparations for Union Square’s redevelopment continue, the people of Somerville are hoping to have their voices heard. In a public hearing, community members, led by local coalition Union United, made the case for a Community Benefits Agreement, which would enable community members to be a part of the redevelopment process.


Community Profile: The Welcome Project 

The Welcome Project is a local non-profit whose mission is to build the collective power of Somerville immigrants to participate in and shape community decisions.

Somerville Seeking Residents to Advise on Capital Improvement Projects

 

The City of Somerville announced today that it is forming a community advisory committee to assist in the review and recommendation of capital improvement projects for upcoming fiscal years. The committee, which will comprise five community members, will work with City staff to review and provide feedback and recommendations, on behalf of the entire community, on project prioritization.
