Real Life Somerville Police Stories:Alexander FEDELE (Larceny) At TJ Maxx

On Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at approximately 7:29 p.m., I, Officer Goncalves, while in full uniform and assigned to area East 1, responded to 105 Middlesex Ave. (TJ Maxx) for a report of a shoplifter. Officer Schneider (A1), McCarey (E4) and Sgt. Kennelly (S8) responded as well.

Upon my arrival, an individual later identified as Alexander Fedele, was detained by TJ Maxx loss prevention. Mr. Fedele had attempted to steal a bed comforter worth $138.11.

It is to be noted, that Mr. Fedele was just arrested by Somerville Police on 11/23/16 for shoplifting (JP #16074189).

At this point I placed Mr. Fedele in handcuffs and arrested him for the violation of M.G.L c266 s30, Larceny under $250. He was searched and transported by Officer Catatao in marked wagon #200 to the Somerville Police Headquarters where he was booked in the usual manner by Lt. Rymill.

Respectfully submitted,

Officer C. Goncalves, #314
