On Tuesday, October 04, 2016 I, Officer David Ruf, was assigned to marked cruiser West-6 (W6) along with Officer Samir Messaoudi. At approximately 10:37 A.M., while traveling South bound on Cedar street, a public way in the city of Somerville, I queried the registration of the vehicle directly in front of my cruiser, Mass registration XXXXX. The results showed that the registered owner’s license was suspended.

 

I activated my emergency equipment and stopped the vehicle near the intersection Summer Street and Cedar Street. I approached the operator and identified him as Michael Cataldo-Lever (registered owner). Mr. Cataldo-Lever then stated “I know why you’re stopping me, because of my license.”

 

I placed Mr. Cataldo-Lever under arrest for operating a motor vehicle after suspension for OUI c.90 / S23 and issued him citation R7883292.

 

Mr. Cataldo-Lever was transported to Somerville Police Department via Unit 200, operated by Officer Pavao and booked by Lt. Mulcahy.
