Tony Lafuente Alderman, Ward 4:Reminder Affordable Housing Hearing

Wednesday, December 9th, at 6pm at City Hall, there’s an important public hearing regarding a proposal to require 20% Affordable Housing for all new developments of six or more units in Somerville.

I support this proposal to help keep our city affordable for residents. It’s a small price for developers to pay to do business in Somerville.

If you would like to give testimony in favor, or against this proposal to increase from 12.5% to 20% the percentage of apartments in new developments (minimum 6 units) that must be permanently affordable, you will be allowed to speak for two minutes to this joint meeting of the Board of Aldermen Land Use Committee and the Planning Board.
If you can’t make the meeting, or would rather send comments in writing, you can email them to planning@somervillema.gov and BoardofAldermen@somervillema.gov. As always, I’m also interested to hear from you – just hit reply to this email if you would like to share anything with me on this issue.
Thanks,
Tony Lafuente

Alderman, Ward 4
