Real Life Somerville Police Stories:LICENSE SUSPENDED, OP MV WITH c90 S23 Arrest

On the Morning of Friday, November 13, 2015 I was assigned to marked unit E-3. While travelling westbound on Washington Street, a public way in the City of Somerville, I randomly queried Mass Reg 198-XP9 from the laptop in the police vehicle. The result of the query showed that the vehicle in question a 2000 Toyota Avalon had an expired non renewable status.

I activated my emergency blue lights to stop the vehicle. I approached the operator Mr. Raymond Chen, and asked for his license and registration. After receiving the proper documentation I advised Mr. Chen as to why he was stopped. After a check of Mr. Chen’s License status, the status of suspended due to payment default appeared. Mr. Chen was placed in to custody and then transported to the Somerville Police Station Via unit #200, operated by Officer E. Kim. Once at the station Mr. Chen was booked in the usual manner by the shift commander Lt. M. Mulcahy.

Respectfully submitted,

Officer Robert M. Pasqualino #271

Somerville Police Department
