What: Candlelight Vigil to Honor Syrian Refugee Children #Vigil4Syrians
When: Wednesday 9/9 at 6:30 pm
Where: 7 Hills Park, Davis Square, Somerville
Who: Initiated by the mothers of local Facebook group, Moms of Camberville, in partnership with The Karam Foundation
The sight of an innocent child swept ashore in Turkey has left so many of us feeling heartbroken and helpless.
Please join us- as fellow mothers, fathers, families, and residents of Camberville (and beyond)- on Wednesday September 9th, 2015 at 6:30 pm for a candlelight vigil to honor the lives of Aylan Kurdi(3), Galip Kurdi (5) and the thousands of other children (and adults) who have lost their lives in this tragic conflict.
We are holding the vigil not only to mourn and comfort each other, but also to restore faith in humanity by offering a glimpse into what good people are doing to prevent this tragedy from repeating itself, and what you can do to help.
Donations can be made to the Karam Foundation, http://www.karamfoundation.org/donate/
