On Friday, September 04, 2015 at 1:28 A.M., I was dispatched along with Officer D’Amelio and Sergeant Ward to the intersection of Myrtle Street and Washington Street for a dispute. The reporting party, XXXXX, informed Somerville Police Control that Ms. Lais Lauzane is intoxicated and he took the keys away from her to prevent her from driving. Mr. Harding also stated that Ms. Lauzane was walking on the street towards moving vehicle.
Sgt. Ward and Officer D’Amelio arrived first on scene. When they attempted to interview all involved parties, Ms. Lauzane became loud and aggressive towards XXXXX and attempted to grab his arm.
Sgt. Ward gave Ms. Lauzane several verbal commands to stop screaming and reminded her that we were in a residential area. Ms. Lauzane refused to comply and continued to scream. Sgt. Ward then placed Ms. Lauzane in handcuffs. I informed her that she was being charged with disorderly conduct.
Ms. Lauzane had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath; she continued yelling profanities after she was placed in handcuffs. She was transported to the Somerville Police Headquarters via unit 200, operated by Officer Driscoll, and booked by Lieutenant Lavey.
Respectfully submitted,
Officer Samir Messaoudi
