Frank J. Scimone–90, A 65-year resident of Somerville died after a long illness on June 1, 2015.

Frank was the beloved husband of Elena (Aloise) Scimone and the father of Frank A. Scimone of Wakefield and his partner Georgette Chappell. He was the loving son of the late Francesco and Catina Scimone and the brother of the late Tina Pagliarulo. Frank was also the brother-in-law of Gene and Dominic Spatola, Mary and Charles Juffre all of Medford, Rosalie Martocchio of Revere and her late husband Joseph the late Peter and Margaret Aloise and Peter’s surviving 2nd wife Mary of Delray, FL and the late John Aloise. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frank moved to Somerville in 1951 and soon established the Scimone Insurance Agency and Somerset Realty Company until he retired in 1992. Frank also worked as an advertising manager for the Watertown Press. Frank is a Past President of the Somerville Kiwanis, Somerville Chamber of Commerce and Somerville Local Development Board. He served on the Board of Directors at Somerset Savings Bank for 20 years where he was the Clerk of the Bank for 15 years. Frank is a retired Life Member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and former member of Michael Capuano’s Home First Charitable Corporation and the Somerville Council on Aging. Frank was also known as the Mayor of Teele Sq. and a member of the Somerville Kiwanis, and enjoyed summers in Rockport and eating at the Café Escadrille.
