Social media campaign in June to officially launch summer and support Somerville businesses

SOMERVILLE – Ready to kick off summer in Somerville? Want to officially put winter behind you? #SomerBliss, a social media promotion to support local retailers who suffered a difficult winter shopping season runs throughout the month of June. This local promotional event is a collaboration between the City of Somerville, East Somerville Main Streets, Somerville Chamber of Commerce, Somerville Local First, and Union Square Main Streets.
During the month of June, residents and businesses are encouraged to tweet using the hashtag #SomerBliss when they are eating or shopping locally. At the end of the month, businesses with the most mentions will receive prizes and recognition, including a #SomerBliss banner, free memberships with Somerville business organizations, and more!

Support local businesses, kick off the summer, and have some fun telling folks you are moving from SomerBlizz to #SomerBliss!
