Portraits of seniors on exhibit at City Hall

An exhibition of pastel portraits of local seniors by Somerville Arts Council grant
recipient Nancy Hall Brooks is now on view at Somerville City Hall. The show, entitled Reflections: portraits of seniors in images and words, honors some of the unique and lively individuals from our community who regularly participate in activities at COA senior centers across Somerville. The nine individuals featured in the exhibit participated in two workshops that were led by the artist at the Council on Aging. The portraits are accompanied by mini-bios based on the stories and anecdotes shared at these sessions.

The portraits will be on view on the first floor of Somerville City Hall, 93 HIghland Avenue, Somerville MA 02143 from February 24 – April 21. Hours are Monday through Wednesday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., and Friday 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

This program is supported in part by the Somerville Arts Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
