Somerville’s Key City Indicators
Dive into City data: Key System Indicators (http://bit.ly/1jHVBKP) is our new, open source website that shares Somerville data in an easy to browse and easy to understand format. So, if you’re not a data geek, this site’s for you. (Data gee…ks welcome too.)
The site includes a variety of data including property values and city revenues, to the results of the city’s Happiness Survey and the number of temporary food permits approved each year. Through maps and charts you can learn more about the City and your neighborhood.
The Key Systems Indicators site was designed by City staff using free, open source resources. In that spirit, we’ve also shared the code to our site for others interested in creating a similar website: https://github.com/DanielHadley/SomervilleSystems.
Let us know what you think of the new Key Systems Indicators page and what data you’d like to see added next.
