The City of Somerville and Federal Realty Investment Trust are hosting two weekends on job fairs for positions at Assembly Row at Assembly Square, and the first is for Somerville residents only.

Representatives of more than 30 retailers and restaurants planning to open in Assembly Row will be at the job fair to talk about open positions and accept resumes and applications.

Job fairs for Somerville residents will be held Saturday, March 1: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Sunday, March 2: 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. Job fairs open to all will be held on Saturday, March 8: 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Sunday, March 9: 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. Both sets of job fairs will be held at the East Somerville Community School, 50 Cross St.

Did someone say “Community tree house?”

Yesterday we had our first Community Budgeting session and got 64 ideas (including building a community tree house) for investments in Public Health, Recreation, Arts and Culture, and Community Engagement and Immigrant Outreach.

Sixty-four’s a good start, but we know there are more great ideas out there. We want them all – big, small, mundane, wacky. Join us Thursday or Saturday to share your ideas:

Thursday, Feb. 27 , 6:30 p.m., at the West Somerville Neighborhood School, 177 Powderhouse Blvd.

Saturday, March 1 (snow date Saturday, March 8), 11 a.m., City Hall, 93 Highland Ave.
