Allied Veterans Memorial Rink – Everett, MA Cam Alves recorded two goals returning from injury and Corey McGlashing and teammate John Botelho each scored while Taylor Sutherland –West backstopped the Highlanders to preserve a 4 to 3 victory over Everett in what was a thriller of a game that came down to the final seconds. Seemingly up comfortably 4 to 1 heading into the third period, Everett pulled within one before lifting the goalie for an extra skater and put pressure on the Highlanders right to the final whistle. The depleted Highlanders got a boost from 3 returning starters from injury. From this fans perspective, this could be a turning point as the team has a chance to make some noise down the stretch. Stay tuned!
