Holiday Inn Dance: Monday, March 24th – 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. – 30 Washington Street – $20.00 – Come

Culinary Arts Luncheon: Tuesday, March 4th – Doors will open at 10:45 A.M. – The Highlander Café is located at the atrium of the Somerville High School, which is located closest to the library. Book Club: Friday, April 4th – The book club meets the first Friday of each month, except for holiday weeks. April’s book is The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka – The story of a group of young women brought from Japan to San Francisco as “picture brides” nearly a century ago. Charleston, SC & Savannah, GA: May 4th to May 10th – A 7-day / 6-night tour of the rolling greens of these two beautiful cities. The tour includes deluxe motorcoach transportation, 6 breakfasts, 4 dinners, all hotel accommodations and hotel tax. $696.00 per person double occupancy – $921.00 single. Ongoing Art Exhibit beginning Monday, January 27th through Friday, February 21st. View pastel portraits and micro-biographies of nine of Somerville’s older adults done by local artist Nancy Hall Brooks at the Holland Street Center,

The Diabetes Patient workshop has been CANCELLED – This event will be rescheduled and we will let you know as soon as we have a new date.

Wednesday, Feburary 19th: Grandparents Day. This year’s theme is “Growing and Learning Together.” All children will have the opportunity to bring home their own plant and watch it grow. LBT Women Fit-4-Life Fitness and Nutrition Classes. Tuesday and Thursday evenings. $10 a month with scholarships available.

LBGT Advisory Group – We meet the 4th Monday of each month. Our next meeting is Monday, February 24th at 4:30 P.M.

Ralph & Jenny Center Events

Ralph and Jenny Center will be open four days a week (Mon-Thurs) beginning Monday, February 3rd!

Please note that the Ralph & Jenny Center will be closed Tuesday, February 11th for the Valentine’s Day Luncheon at the Winter Hill Yacht Club.

Cards and Games hour at Ralph & Jenny at 10:00 am every day the center is open (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). Come join your friends or make some new ones. Cards, Scrabble and Cribbage.

Do you crochet or would you like to learn? Thursdays at 10:45 am. At Ralph & Jenny Center. Join a great group in learning to crochet or share your projects you are working on.
