included an attachment with those who scored-in red- and those who competed but did not score. And photos of the team. This was a HUGE win for our Girls team. Despite having a 2-2 record, the girls all performed great and upset Cambridge and Malden-both undefeated. This was definetly one of the best wins for our team in a long time. We have a very young team and its taken awhile for them to get the experience to compete at a high level and they did it at the biggest GBL meet of the season. I could not be prouder of any team that I have coached. This team has spirit, talent and great leadership from the Captains Kaylee Lima, Alison Kaba, Samantha Simon and Laxmi Spearing.
The pictures show the team after their win. The capts photo from left to right-Laxmi Spearing, Samantha Simon, Kaylee Lima, Alison Kaba.
Next meet is the GBL Junior Varsity meet on wednesday at Cambridge and then the Division 2 MIAA State meet on Friday Feb 14th at 4:30 at the Reggie Lewis Center. Qualifying for the Div 2 State meet are Melissa Sanon in the High Jump, Saragrace Magre in the 300m, Catherine Nakato in the 600m, Alison Kaba in the shot put and our 4x200m relay team of Samantha Simon, Kaylee Lima, Melissa Sanon and Saragrace Magre.
