Obituary
Barbara Lois Thornton of Somerville passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with a long-term illness.

Barbara was born in Somerville and was a lifelong resident. She worked for many years at a local book-binding company before her retirement.

Barbara was the former wife of Tech Sargent USAF William A. Thornton (deceased).

She was the daughter of William Ronayne and Isabel (Dineen) Ronayne ( deceased) of Somerville.

Survived by brother Richard Ronayne (deceased), sister of Rita (Richard ) Humphrey of Tewksbury, MA.

Mother of Donna (Greg) Rushall of San Diego, CA

Grandmother of Jennifer Kay Rushall and David William Rushall of San Diego, CA. Great-grandmother of Jayden Rushall of San Diego, CA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Barbara was always stylish and polished. She enjoyed traveling to England, the Philippines and Guam while her husband was in the United States Airforce .

A private service will be held for family to honor her memory.
