In a summer with the Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and Herman’s Hermits visiting Boston, one would think it is 1964 all over again. In a Zoom conversation July 9th 2024 with the lead singer of the Herman’s Hermits, Peter Noone noted that all three of those groups did play together in the early 1960s.

Peter reveals how John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin arranged and played bass on the magnificent song “There’s A Kind of Hush” – a tune on the New Vaudeville Band’s Winchester Cathedral album. Composed by hit songwriter Geoff Stephens, the timeless recording has so many elements of greatness, not the least of which is young Mr. Noone’s popular voice.

“I’m Into Something Good” is a Carole King song from way back when that has also stood the test of time with its happy-go-lucky charm of finding someone new in the neighborhood.

Noone’s following includes the Noonatics, his fanclub on Facebook. Peter gives those who appreciate him much time, autographs they can capture in pictures literally written on his hand, and badges to wear in concert when he walks through the audience to say hello.

This is a chance to see the Herman’s Hermits in a very intimate setting

The City Winery is on 80 Beverly Street across from the Boston Garden. A splendid time is guaranteed for all.
