ROSE’S OBITUARY
Rose E. Cuddemi, of Lakeville and formerly of Somerville, passed away on August 19, 2023, she was 71.
Born in Boston and raised in Somerville, Rose was the loving daughter of the late Gilda (D’Antonio) and Charles M. Cuddemi. Rose graduated from Boston College and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education. As a Special Education teacher for 34 years at the Cardinal Cushing Center in Hanover, she touched the lives of countless students, families, and fellow colleagues.
Rose is lovingly survived by her brother, Michael Cuddemi and his late wife Diane of Plymouth and her cherished nephew Brandon Cuddemi and his wife Ashley of Braintree and their children Domenic and Collin Cuddemi. Rose was predeceased by her brother Charles M. Cuddemi, Jr.
Rose was an excellent cook, and enjoyed making her classic dishes for family and friends. She loved reading, and was an avid fan of the Celtics and Patriots. Rose’s favorite thing to do was spending time with family, especially with her “sweeties,” Domenic & Collin.
Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Monday, August 28th from 4PM to 7PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. A graveside service will be held the following morning, August 29th at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Road, Medford at 11:30AM where she will be laid to rest with her parents and brother. Those attending are asked to gather inside the Main Gate by 11:15AM.
