Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

Well another year goes by an another Memorial Day Parade didn’t happen. It takes almost a year to set up a Memorial Day Parade, my question is how much have they (the city) already appropriated for this hopefully a 2023 Memorial Day Parade to happen? I don’t think they’ve done a damn thing yet for the 2023 preparation so don’t hold your breath.

Where are all of the monuments that were up at the high school concourse next to the Central Library that were moved out and put into storage in 2018 and why haven’t we gotten them back? Where are they? It seems that nobody knows?

I was told that in a recent meeting, the Somerville veteran’s director when asked replied that the veteran memorial statues and monuments of the high school won’t be back there for at least five years or more. Why?

Did you even think the reason why the police department wasn’t at the Memorial Day wreath laying ceremony on this Monday? Just maybe it looks like they’re a little ticked off at the administration over the multiple numbskull decisions that were made by our elected officials over the high school incidents and other policing policies. They’re probably even more ticked off especially about for inciting all the disrespect from all the high school students. People can only take so much.

Also where were most of the Somerville City Councilors and Officials? Oh wait, I forgot. It’s because it’s not an election year and they don’t care neither.
