Real Life Somerville Police Stories: Assault on Police Officer

Assault on Police Officer
22020019: On 4/14/22 at approximately 10:00 AM, the pictured individual was riding his bike on Somerville Ave and punched an officer who was on detail. The individual continued to flee through the intersection of Somerville Ave & Mossland St. The individual was described as a thin, white man, early 30’s, with a beard, wearing a black helmet, a black long sleeve bike shirt and black bike shorts/capris. Anyone with information, please contact the Somerville Police Department at 617-625-1600.

Assault
22023273: On 4/29/22 at approximately 6:46 PM, Somerville Police responded to Thurston St for report of an assault with a firearm. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated while walking in the area of 366 Broadway, he was approached by a light gray vehicle. The passenger in the vehicle asked the victim where he was from then pointed a black handgun with a red laser at him. The victim then fled the area. The passenger holding the firearm was described as man, in his 20s, wearing a black ski mask and a green sweatshirt.

Residential Breaking & Entering
22023884: On 5/2/22 at approximately 3:34 PM, Somerville Police responded to a multifamily residence on Pearl St for report of a past breaking and entering. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated numerous items were stolen while the house was left unoccupied.
