AmeriCorps Member Works with Mass Mentoring Partnership

(SOMERVILLE) Kylee Whitworth of Somerville is an AmeriCorps Ambassador of Mentoring, dedicating 11 months in service at Big Sister Association of Boston.

Whitworth was chosen as an Ambassador of Mentoring in a competitive process through Mass Mentoring Partnership, a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding the number and impact of empowering youth-adult relationships across the state. Whitworth is one of 23 Ambassadors of Mentoring who are serving in 21 host sites in Massachusetts.

Mass Mentoring Partnership works with over 350 partner organizations from Boston to Pittsfield, providing training and technical assistance and connecting mentoring programs to local resources. MMP is committed to fighting racism and will continue to examine its practices and organizational culture in the process. MMP actively engages with the AmeriCorps members, host sites, and community partners to create a discourse that results in action.

Mass Mentoring Partnership is currently accepting applications from mentoring and youth-serving organizations interested in hosting an AmeriCorps Ambassador of Mentoring for the 2021-2022 Service Year. To learn more or to apply, visit massmentors.org/ambassadors.
