Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line:Who Profited on Bringing in that Derelict House on Summer Street?

Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

Mr. Tauro I was wondering if you knew about the elderly home that’s located on 117 Summer Street that has quietly become an alledged nut house. My mother lives on Preston Road and she stated to me that all kinds of crazies are walking around her neighborhood all of a sudden. Was this another hush hush deal from the Mayor?

My sister would love to meet you. She lives on that street and would put your sign on her front lawn. She has the address and name of the place. The next thing you know that the mayor will have on of his pot shops or shoot-up clinics renting space off them as well.

The neighbors are very upset and want an explanation from the current/soon to be former mayor why they were never contacted about this decision.

  1. A relative of ours was once a resident of the Somerville Home. It was one of the best facilities in this area. I was surprised they allowed this to be sold. Liberals have shown how little they care for our elderly community. This is their corporate model seen in employment as age discrimination and now they hunt for any property that shows vulnerability, including much needed nursing and facilities as the Somerville Home. All the liberals care about is making Somerville their own, especially millennials and their parents who invest and have the ears of our political establishment. Unfortunately, many of our former neighbors jumped ship. They were tired of living under brutal tyranny. That’s exactly how this mayor rules. But I do have faith that since covid, the real estate market has dropped and the millions owed cannot be paid. His luck will eventually run out. He has zero chance of higher office. Too much dirt that has come out already and so much more. Why do you think his closest staff members ran to other jobs outside the city? You can run but you can’t hide. Not that everyone should become a whistle-blower but I sure wish some would.
