Somerville Vision Zero Action Plan and Open Houses Announced

The City released its Vision Zero Draft Action Plan this week, and the Mayor is calling on the community to provide input to help shape this action plan for safer streets. The draft will be available for public review and comment through February 6. The open houses will be held on:

Tuesday, January 21, 6-8 p.m. East Somerville Community School Cafeteria, 50 Cross St.
Thursday, January 30, 6-8 p.m. Somerville Community Baptist Church, 31 College Ave.
Wednesday, February 5, 6-8 p.m. Somerville Public Library Auditorium, 79 Highland Ave.

  1. Waste of time. People have complained for years about certain bad spots in Somerville and they just get ignored until someone is killed. I know of the recent ones on Mystic have have been a source of complaints for many years. What do they think waiting for will bring? When I could walk I went down there a few times and decided it was just too dangerous. These are not something new.
