Real Life Somerville Police Stories: Austin BULKELEY (Palmer Warrant)

On 04/12/2019 at around 0845 hours, while in full uniform and assigned to marked unit TR9, I was conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Highland Ave and College Ave. (Both a public way in the City of Somerville) I was randomly, querying license plate numbers as cars drove by. When I queried license plate number XXXX, the registered owner of the vehicle was showing to have a suspended drivers license. I turned my blue lights on and siren and proceed to conduct a motor vehicle stop. As I approached the operator, who was later identified to be Bulkeley Austin, I requested his drivers license with registration and informed Mr.Bulkeley the reason of the vehicle stop. Mr.Bulkeley produced an active Connecticut drivers license, however, Mr.Bulkeley was suspended from driving in the state of Massachusetts.
Subsequently, the vehicle was driven away from scene by the wife of Mr.Bulkeley, who possessed an active drivers license.

Respectfully submitted,
