Two new firefighters were sworn in during the Tuesday, October 23rd Board of Aldermen meeting. Seamus Lynch and Troy Martini will start orientation with the department on November 5th for two weeks and then report to the MA Firefighting Academy in Stow.

The Little Sisters of the Poor at the Saint Jeanne Jugan Residence on Highland Avenue are celebrating the orders arrival in the United States 150 years ago. To help mark the occasion, the crew from the Somerville Media Center spent an afternoon highlighting the terrific work the Little Sister do for the poor and the elderly.
