You’ve probably noticed the construction in Union Square that is part of the Somerville Avenue Utilities and Streetscape Improvements Project. The next phase of the project is about to start and it will include a detour in the middle of Union Square. The detour is planned for about six months starting in early-November. The next phase of the Somerville Ave. Utilities & Streetscape Improvements project is set to begin in early November (an exact start date is TBD pending completion of utility work by Eversource) and continue for approximately six months (through April 2019).
