Somerville Speakup Line:How Come The City Has No Money When it Comes to Notifying Residents

Dear Billy T and Somerville Speakup Line,

The city has no money for resident mailings of important meetings, yet they are spending money on postcards and pink plastic bags alerting residents of pink bags being dropped off and asking for donations of clothing, shoes and accessories be left on the curb, yet do not say where this is going.

What of the Salvation Army and Good Will stores where households donate goods for the poor?

Is this how they plan on driving out the stores who sell at affordable prices to those who rely on them?

And how many new jobs will they be creating for the drivers of recycled goods?

Is this a big tax right off for the city? What is the real story? And why the color pink, is this deceptive?

Will there be a police patrol guarding the pink bag bandits?

Signed,

Fed up
