Thomas was a very nice man and friends to many of us here in Somerville where he will be sadly missed.

THOMAS’ OBITUARY

SIMAS, Thomas G. – Of Lowell fomerly of Somerville July 11, 2018. Beloved husband of Maria Simas. Former husband of the late Elizabeth Simas. Father of Thomas J. of Cambridge, Steven J. of Tewksbury, Scott A. Simas of Somerville and Christine Buttaro of Tewksbury. Brother of Maureen Snook, Kathy Amerault and the late Sandy Schofield. Step-Father of Manny DaCosta, Rosa Fallon and Maria Cotter. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville, Monday morning at 9am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, (Union Sq.) Somerville at 10:00. Relatives and friends invited.

Calling hours Sunday 2-6. Interment Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Late Police officer, Harvard University Police Dept. Cambridge for 30 years.
