Dear Community Partner,
I’m writing today with an exciting opportunity for the youth that you serve!
As you may know, the Big Apple Circus chose Somerville (Assembly Row) as their home for the 2018 Boston-area shows. The Circus will be at Assembly Row for the next 6 weeks (through mid-May), and its organizers have generously arranged for a Somerville Community Day show on Saturday, April 14, at 7 p.m. For this show, tickets are offered to Somerville community members (youth & their families) for FREE! The Big Apple Circus has provided us with approximately 1,000 tickets to distribute to youth and their families via our youth-serving agencies.
To be as equitable as possible, we will provide tickets on a first come, first served basis to any organization or agency that serves youth within Somerville, at up to 25% of your total regularly served population. (For example, if you are an organization that provides programming on a daily basis for 100 youth, you may request up to 25 tickets. If you are a school principal or PTA member, your allotted tickets will be based on the total school enrollment.)
To reserve tickets, please email Jackie Rossetti at JRossetti@somervillema.gov by Thursday, April 12 at noon, noting which agency or organization you represent, the best contact email and phone number for you or someone within your agency, and the number of youth served by your agency. Tickets remaining as of the afternoon of April 12 will be distributed elsewhere.
If you know of other deserving agencies, organizations, or groups, please share this information! It will also be posted on the City’s website, www.somervillema.gov. For more information about the Circus itself, visit https://bigapplecircus.com.
If you have any questions, my contact information is below. Thanks, and I hope you’ll be able to enjoy the Big Apple Circus!
