Real Life Somerville Police Stories:John DUBUQUE (ADW – Knife & Threats

On the afternoon of Wednesday, January 11, 2017 I was assigned to marked unit east 2. At approximately 1:00 PM, I was dispatched along with east 3 Officer Alan Monaco to 14 McGrath Highway (McDonalds) for a report of a white male making threats with a knife. Upon our arrival we were met by the store’s manager, XXXXX. She stated that the male, which was later identified as John Dubuque, was asking people for money. When XXXXX had asked John to stop bothering the customers, he immediately placed his left hand in to his jacket pocket and stated “I will kill you with this knife.” John was still on scene for the arrival of the police. John was asked why he would of made such a comment he simply stated “I don’t like her.” After searching John for the possibility of a knife, nothing was found.

John was placed into custody for the crimes of assault by means of a dangerous weapon and threats to commit a crime. Unit #200 was requested to transport John to Somerville Police Station to be booked in the usual manner by Lt. J. DiGregorio.

Respectfully submitted,

Officer Robert M. Pasqualino #271
Somerville Police Department
