Life Story for David Wilson
David John Wilson, age 57, of Hemet, passed away on January 6, 2017. He was born on February 25, 1959 in Medford, MA.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 20 years of honorable service. He was in Combat Communications, first stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany and then Whiteman AFB, MO where he met his wife, Teri, also in the U.S. Air Force. They were next stationed at Ramstein AFB, Germany, where their daughter Sabrina was born, then to Langley AFB, Virginia, where son Brian was born. He became a recruiter so the family could move to Hemet to be closer to Teri’s family. Second son, Sean was born soon after. He stayed in the recruiting field until he retired in 1999, from the Los Angeles MEPS. He was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with 4 devices, Air Force Longevity Service Award with 3 devices, Air Force Training Ribbon, Air Force Overseas Long Tour Ribbon with device, National Defense Service Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon with device, NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon with device, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with 5 devices, Meritorious Service Medal and Senior Electronics Maintenance Badge. His most recent career was shipping and receiving manager for Paso Robles Tank Co. He loved the Red Sox, the Patriots, playing golf, bowling but most importantly, spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Teri; 3 children – Sabrina Syrett (J.J.), Brian (Angie) and Sean (Sabrina); 2 grandchildren – Ryleigh Wilson and Connor Syrett; his mother, Martha; 3 brothers – Robert, Mark and Kevin. He is predeceased by his father, Henry.
