Real Life Somerville Police Stories:Aneudy CASTRO (Operating MV with License Suspended & Fail to Stop)

On Tuesday, September 27, 2016, I, Sergeant Michael Capasso was on duty for the Somerville Police. At approximately 1:17 PM, I observed a black Toyota Highlander fail to stop at the stop sign on Derby Street by Temple Street, both public ways within the City of Somerville. Based on this infraction, I queried the vehicle’s registration and discovered that the registered owner, Mr. Aneudy Castro, had a revoked driver’s license. I conducted a motor vehicle stop in front of 35 Memorial Road, and identified the operator as the registered owner via a New York driver’s license. Mr. Castro confirmed that his address was 2 Neptune Road in East Boston, as shown on the CJISWEB listing.

Mr. Castro’s driver history shows that his license was revoked indefinitely on 02/11/2016 for a “Fraud Lic/ID.” Mr. Castro was placed under arrest and issued Massachusetts Uniform Citation # R7639615. The Highlander was towed from the scene and both registration plates were confiscated.

Respectfully submitted,

Sgt. Michael Capasso #285
