East Broadway Foodie Crawl Showcases Culinary Destinations with an Interactive Tasting Tour & Aeronaut Beer Garden

SOMERVILLE –Catch the flavors—and the culture—of Somerville’s East Broadway neighborhood with an interactive tasting tour of more than a dozen restaurants and a pop-up Aeronaut Beer Garden a the East Broadway Foodie Crawl on Tuesday, September 13 from 6 pm to 8:30 pm. Participants in the Crawl get a ticket to some of the city’s best-kept secrets and the opportunity to taste some of the most authentic ethnic food in Somerville limits, representing five continents. New for 2016, Crawlers will be able to relax and enjoy a local craft beer at Somerville-based Aeronaut Brewing Co’s Pop-Up Beer Garden.
 
The Foodie Crawl invites participants directly inside each participating restaurant for a walking and tasting neighborhood tour that sets it apart from other food events and festivals. With more than 20 restaurants participating, including newcomers Taqueria Montecristo, Paisanos and Mount Vernon alongside yearly favorites like Fasika, La Brasa, Maya Sol Mexican Grill and Vinny’s Restaurant, The Foodie Crawl offers a true tasting experience.
 
East Somerville’s beautiful streetscape provides outdoor seating and music and entertainment for more than 1,000 people enjoying the crawl and the sights and sounds of East Somerville’s culturally diverse culinary district. New for 2016, Crawlers can experience three murals celebrating East Somerville’s identity with the completion of the public arts project This Is East.
 
All proceeds from the Foodie Crawl benefit East Somerville Main Streets, which is committed to building a safe, sustainable and prosperous multicultural community by developing a vibrant businesses district at the neighborhood’s heart. 
 
Tickets for the Foodie Crawl are on sale now. You can buy them for $25 online and $30 at the door if there are still tickets available (Crawlers can add two beer tickets for $12. Each individual beer will be sold at $8.00). Tickets are available at: http://www.eastsomervilleguide.com. The event has a rain date of September 14th.
