On Friday, July 29th, 2016, I (Officer Devin Schneider) was in full uniform while assigned to the Assembly Row unit in marked cruiser 660. The following report is a summary of the events that I witnessed, as they pertain to incident #16046445:
At approximately 4:26 pm I received a call on my department issued cell phone from Home Depot Asset Protection Associate (APA) XXXXX. APA XXXXX stated to me that a male in his store had just pushed a cart out of the door filled with merchandise that he had not paid for. I arrived in the Home Depot parking lot a short time later.
