This past Saturday, the Somerville Recreation Department and BSSC hosted a Soccer tournament at Trum Field in Somerville.
What is BSSC:
Our largest soccer league…as many as 90 teams play in this league! Play Men’s or Coed on Monday nights at one of 4 great facilities in Medford/Somerville area: Dilboy Stadium, Medford HS, Hormel Stadium and MacDonald Stadium. All games are played on synthetic grass. A full size soccer field is divided into 3 smaller fields (195′ x 105′) with reduced goals (10′ x 6’6″). Leagues run April thru November with new league starts in early April, early June, early August and late September. This league fills quickly! Register early to play on premier fields close to the city!
Coed is 7 on 7 including goalie (5 men, 2 women)
Men’s is 7 on 7 (6 field players + goalie on field)
Teams & individuals of all levels welcome
6 games with starts between 7 & 10pm
One game per week every Monday, with 1 “bye week”
3 or 4 Divisions for levels of play
Two 25 minute running-time halves with one certified official
Shin guards are required
Team fee includes: 12 team shirts, balls, potential playoffs and prizes for division winners
