Davis Square Theatre Hosts “Something Big” with Nore Davis


Somerville hotspot monthly comedic series announces August lineup
 

WHAT: There’s “Something Big” coming to Somerville’s Davis Square Theatre. On August 18, the Davis Square Theatre is back with its monthly comedic showcase featuring stand-up in an intimate setting from the country’s best and brightest talent. Hosted by local funnymen Nick Chambers and Al Park, “Something Big,” brings big belly laughs to Boston in this reoccurring original series. This August’s show will feature headliner Nore Davis with comics Janelle James and Zach Brazão.

 

About the cast of comedians:

 

“Nore Davis has cemented himself as a rising star in the world of comedy with appearances at the ‘New Faces of Comedy Showcase’ and the prestigious ‘Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.’ Known for his energetic performances and magnetic stage presence, he has appeared on Comedy Central, MTV, and AXS TV. His talents have also earned him television-acting roles on shows that include, ‘Inside Amy Schumer,’ ‘Last Week Tonight’ and the Emmy award-winning HBO series ‘Boardwalk Empire.’”

 

“Janelle James is a Caribbean-born comedian and writer living in New York. She has performed all over the country including the Laugh Factory, Gotham, Helium and Caroline’s Comedy Club. She has also traveled extensively as the feature act with Hannibal Buress, Todd Barry and Rob Delaney and more. Janelle can be seen on NBC’s ‘Seeso’s Night Train with Wyatt Cenac,’ ‘@midnight’ on Comedy Central and ‘Uproarious’ on Fuse. She was named one of ‘The 50 Most Funny People in Brooklyn’ in 2016 and has been featured in the Portland Tribune, Time Out Magazine and The New York Times.”

 

“Zachary Brazão began performing comedy in 2015 and has since performed all over Boston. His major influences include the American Pageant History Textbook and Keno lounges throughout the South Shore.”
