On Sunday, July 16, 2016, I, Officer Kim, was on routine patrol in marked cruiser East 2. At approximately 12:30 hours I was dispatched to Target, located at 180 Somerville Avenue, for a report of a male shoplifter who was being uncooperative with loss prevention. On Thursday, July 14th, 2016, I, Officer Devin Schneider, was in full uniform assigned to the Assembly Row unit in marked cruiser 660. The following report is a summary of the events that I witnessed, as they pertain to incident #16042882:

 

At approximately 6:45 pm I was on patrol with Officer Tyler Sousa, when we received a report from Home Depot Loss Prevention XXXXX that he had several known shoplifters in his store. As Officer Sousa and I made our way to Home Depot, XXXXX updated us that one of the group of suspected shoplifters had selected a water heater and placed it on a flat-bed cart. Officer Sousa and I arrived in the Home Depot parking lot a short time later.
