Somerville’s debt exclusion question


At its regular July meeting, the Somerville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will consider taking a position on the City’s debt exclusion question for a new Somerville High School. 

 

The ballot question to be put before Somerville voters on November 8th asks:

 

“Shall the City of Somerville be allowed to exempt from the provisions of proposition two and one-half, so called, the amounts required to pay for the bond(s) issued in order to design, engineer, construct, and equip the new Somerville High School.”

The Chamber Board invites all Chamber members in good standing to provide insight and a recommendation on this question via email. Members insights and recommendations will be included in a briefing summary for Chamber Board members.
