By Frank Santangelo

Eric is a lifelong resident of Somerville and a graduate of Somerville High School. He later graduated UMass Boston with a B.A. and New England School of Law with a J.D.

Eric, a Somerville Firefighter proudly works on Engine 2, simply loves his job and is very dedicated to it, the hard working fine people he works with and the community.

Eric previously coached Somerville youth hockey for five seasons and is very involved in fundraising and autism advocacy in the city.

Last year he helped organize a charity hockey game between Somerville FD and NYPD to benefit Somerville youth hockey and has also help raise money through harbor cruises to donate iPads to Somerville Special Education as well as money for Autism Speaks.

Last winter, Eric organized and coached a free Learn to Skate Program for local children with autism.

We here at the Somerville News Weekly salute you for everything that you do to make Somerville a better place.
Congratulations!
