Patrick JANEIRO (Operating MV With License Suspended)

While assigned to S402 as night detective supervisor operating unmarked cruiser, Ma. Reg. 7DF370, I had just left a follow up interview with a victim in a case. A motor vehicle associated with a suspect in this investigation was occupying the front passenger seat of a 2004 Toyota Camry. I had reason to believe that the operator of this Toyota had a suspended license. I eventually was able to get within a safe distance to affect a motor vehicle stop on this vehicle on School Street, a public way in our fair city. Upon addressing the operator I stated to him that I knew he did not have an active license to operate. He insisted that he did. Upon arrival of back up units I confirmed that his license was suspended. Mr. Janeiro was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle on a public way, his license being suspended. I issued citation number R6069607 for this violation.
