YOGA by Noah: Thursday,May 8th through Thursday, June 5th – Yoga is back and open to all. Join us on Thursday mornings starting at 9:00 A.M. for an hour long invigorating yoga class. Yoga provides modified, low-impact moves and easy-to-follow

pacing for a healthy, active lifestyle. This program lets you stretch and relax, will make you feel fresh and most of all it will be exhilarating. Classes take place at our Holland Street Center located at 167 Holland Street and a cost of $20.00 will cover the 5 week class. Lucianos Restaurant & North Shore Acappella: Wednesday, May 21st – Check in time is 9:45 A.M. at the Ralph & Jenny Center. Approximate return time is 5:00 P.M. For over 30 years North Shore Acappella has excited audiences throughout the country adding an experienced blend of harmony, rhythm and tempo to songs from the 1940’s through today. The Highlander Café: Wednesday, June 4th – The SCOA is hosting a luncheon at the Highlander Café which is located at the atrium of Somerville High School. Suffolk Downs: Wednesday, June 11th – and they’re off…………………Come join us for a relaxing day of live horse racing, dine on a delicious buffet in the clubhouse and award the jockey with a thophy for the race that is named after the SCOA. Twin River Casino: Monday, June 16th – Located in Lincoln, RI. For $22.00 you received your Motorcoach Bus transportation, $10.00 Free Bonus Play and a $7.00 Food Credit. Foster’s Clambake: Monday, August 18th – Join us as we go off to the beaches of York, Maine. We transform one of Maine’s best known facilities for lobster into our very own clambake. Meal choices include lobster, BBQ chicken or a vegetarian meal. Meals also include chowder, clams, mussels, corn on the cob, potatoes, rolls & butter, dessert, coffee, tea, iced tea or lemonade. $62.00 per person -Check in time 9:00 A.M. at Holland Street and 9:15 A.M. at Ralph & Jenny Center. Lowell Spinners: Thursday, August 28th – For just $31.00 you receive your transportation, seating, all you can eat BBQ and a night of America’s favorite pastime – Baseball! As part of an ongoing collaboration with Teen Empowerment & The Boston Symphony Orchestra the Somerville Council on Aging is headed to the Boston Pops concert on Friday, May 9th. This is the 2nd in a 3 part event program known as the “Symphony for Our City” program which includes special concerts and pre-performance educational presentations. The 3rd event will be an all day trip to Tanglewood on Sunday, July 27th. The Moonlighters – Somerville’s Swinging Singing Seniors will be performing at the Zelma Lacey House on Monday, May 12th at 10:30 A.M. Stay tuned for when the Moonlighters will be coming to a venue near you!
