There will be a short presentation to Tom for his long service to the Board and our community. I know it will mean a lot if a crowd is part of this. He has fought so hard for out Somerville and that spirit continues with his health battle. He is a true inspiration. Please pass this on in all the ways you can. I truly appreciate it as cancer with its many complications tends to take the dignity from its victims and manytimes cause isolation. Nicole Genard, SHS “12 and a sophomore at Northeastern University placed 1st in the Heptathalon, 2nd in the Javelin and 3rd in the Long Jump at the Colonial Athletic Conference Championships. Nicole was selected the Outstanding Field Event Athlete at the meet. The meet was held at James Madison University in Richmond Virginia. This is the second year in a row that Nicole has won the Heptathalon, which is a 7 event competition with runnin, jumping and throwing events.
