Somerville/Medford Remembering Lori A. (Milliken) Carbone

Lori A. (Milliken) Carbone, of Haverhill and formerly of Somerville, passed away on July 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends, she was 62. Lori fought a valiant fight against lung cancer and remained strong and brave.

Born and raised in Somerville, Lori was the loving daughter of Carolyn (Bonnett) and Warren Milliken of Somerville. She graduated from Somerville High School and went on to begin her career in banking. She has served as the director of digital services with the Metro Credit Union for the past 25 years. Loyal to her team at work and a great leader, Lori made many lasting friendships over the years.

A strong and independent woman, Lori also enjoyed sports and especially shopping. She loved plants and kept every room of her home full of lush green plants and flowers. She could often be found being found cruising around in her beloved Mini Cooper with her roof down or time spent at the beach. Using her creative side, Lori also enjoyed arts and crafts projects, jewelry making and had a love of baking. Above all, Lori was a proud and devoted mother to her cherished daughter Mia, she was her pride and joy.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn and Warren Milliken of Somerville and her cherished daughter Mia Carbone and her partner Jason Tagg of Weymouth, Lori survived by her dear friend Janet Donald of Saugus as well as many loved family members, friends and colleagues.

Visiting Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Sunday afternoon, July 12th from 2:00PM – 5:00PM with a Prayer service beginning at 4:30PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. In honor of her love for animals, in lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the MSPCA at http://www.mspca.org
