Thursday, January 23rd: Somerville Arts Council grant recipient Nancy Hall Brooks will exhibit a series of portraits of local older adults at the Ralph and
Jenny Center, 9 New Washington Street. The show is entitled “Reflections: Portraits of seniors in images and words.” It honors nine different unique and lively Somerville individuals who participate regularly in communal activities at the COA’s centers.
Thursday, February 6th: Diabetes Patient Educates Peers on Taking Control of the Disease, Holland Street Center, 167 Holland Street. Patient Kirk Kenyon knows first-hand the challenges and obstacles to maintaining control of diabetes. Come hear his practical and inspiration presentation at 10 a.m. After the presentation, there is time for one-on-one counseling and education.
Wednesday, Feburary 19th: Grandparents Day. This year’s theme is “Growing and Learning Together.” All children will have the opportunity to plant seeds and decorate a planter to take home with them.
