Obituary
Mary (Leonard) Canty, of Somerville, passed away on August 1, 2025. She was blessed with 90 years of age. Born and raised in Reengaroga, Baltimore, County Cork, Ireland, she was one of twelve children born to Ellen (Driscoll) and Paddy Jack Leonard.

The beloved wife of the late Cornelius Canty. She was the devoted mother of Neil Canty and his wife Kathleen of Franklin, Ellen Conte and her husband Vigo of Somerville and the late Michael Canty and his surviving wife Nancy of Barnstable.

Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Monday, August 11th at 9:00AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Ann Church at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting Hours Sunday, August 10th from 3:00PM to 6:00PM in the Doherty Funeral Home.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
