Southern Middlesex County Register of Deeds Maria Curtatone is being accused of by family victims of allegedly using her influence of her office for a deceitful scheme to defraud beneficiaries listed on property deeds and wills out of their rightful property shares.
The allegations include tampering of wills and tampering of property deeds to deprive beneficiaries of ownership and reverting ownership shares to benefit certain beneficiaries that have a relationship with Curtatone.
Back on September 30th and again on October 7th, we reported of two separate situations concerning wills and deeds that were allegedly illegally changed with Curtatones influence.
According to victims in both cases, they are seeking legal counsel to have criminal charges brought against Register Curtatone as well as for the new beneficiaries who were wrongfully listed on the deeds and wills depriving family members of millions of dollars.
Curtatone is also facing potential criminal charges being brought against her regarding an illegal June 21st, 2018 underaged Drinkfest/party at her home where over four hundred teenage students were invited to and attended that resulted in the stabbing of a 17-year-old male Somerville student. Videos and photographs of Curtatone’s underaged drinking party also showed alcohol that was allegedly provided to the students at her Somerville home by Curtatone.
On Friday October 18th, former Somerville Police Captain Bernard Cotter testified under oath as a defendant in Boston Federal Court regarding political and public corruption in Somerville for his then boss also a defendant in the case former Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone, Maria Curtatone’s brother.
The former police captain admitting falsification and incomplete police reports regarding multiple Somerville Police Department criminal case investigations. Curtatone’s back yard underage drinking fest at her home is considered to be amongst the reports.
On Tuesday October 22nd only five days after former Captain Cotter’s testimony and one day after former Mayor Joseph Curtatone’s and former Somerville Police Chief David Fallon’s testimony as defendants on the stand, the jury deliberated and found the Federal Court Case against Curtatone and the City of Somerville were found liable of political and public corruption on all counts.
